Too brief descriptions of macros

As someone new to the MacroScheduler forum I am struggling to understand many of the posts. For example, this post by Rain (Tips and Scrips: LibFunc MessageBox Wizard) useful but I am afraid I cannot grasp from the terse description just what this macro and so can’t tell whether or not I would fin...

Apparently I post here. But when I tried to respond to a posting in the Tips section my screen says I cannot post there. Does one need to register separately to each section of the forum? Thanks for a clarification.

Marcus: Of course! Thanks so much for the so-lucid explanation. What I used to know is gradually coming back to me.

Can you suggest a manual or tutorial for learning how to use MS that is at a similarly lucid (simple) level? I find the HELP screens too terse for first-time users. .... wdc

Very basic question

I haven't used my old version of MS (V6.2.3) in many years, am trying to relearn how to do so. I do recall how to write a macro that will write one line, say my library card number, when I strike a designated hot key. But how do I write out two lines? That is, I don't know the command to insert betw...

Thanks for your patience. I am learning/experimenting with different commands. I have found that I can do what I want (sort of) by using the MessageModal command to display a reminder message ... but I am having trouble with the command that will directly display a Word file. Say I want to display t...

Help on a very basic script

Macro for a WORD97 table

I have owned MS 6.2 for years but have never really used it for any complex macros. Could someone please help me write a macro for this application? PROBLEM: I have a WORD97 file (Table.doc) containing a table with 3 columns (A, B, and C) and 600 rows. The cells in Column A are initially all blank. ...

Re LEXPPS.EXE -- Following Lumumba's and Bob Hansen's advice (also see below) I want to change the name of LEXPPS.EXE to LEXPPS.EXE.OLD. But when I try to do so using the FIND and right-click\commands, I get rejected as “the file is being used by Windows.â€Â

I changed lexpps.exe to lexpps.exe.old and the system stability improved for about two days. Then it started to display same freeze-ups again. When I did a Start\Find C:\lexpps.* I found that I had lexpps.exe. Somehow it regenerated!? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (even though we have...
