News Feed bug
There may be a bug in the latest version on Windows 10 Professional using the Pro version not the Lite. If you click on Help then News Feed there is an error dialogue box (see attachment). This box will also appear automatically after about 15 mins of idle time. The error box will take the focus away from the main Macro Scheduler window until it is cleared. This means that scheduled tasks will not run if the error message appears. The bug is not present on the Lite version or on Windows Servers OS. Please investigate and fix or suggest a workaround.
Re: News Feed bug
Works fine on my machines running Windows 10 Pro with Macro Scheduler Pro v14.3.12.
Re: News Feed bug
Thanks for checking. If this was a real bug which affected everyone then I'm sure the forum would be in uproar. It may well be isolated to our PCs (few hundred machines) but it's not the first time this has happened. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9255dtaylor wrote:Works fine on my machines running Windows 10 Pro with Macro Scheduler Pro v14.3.12.

Re: News Feed bug
This was a general issue with a previous version. But if you're running 14.3.12 it should not occur. However, perhaps there's some issue with those PCs contacting the server, or the data is coming down corrupted. If so you could simply turn off the news feed.

Re: News Feed bug
Is this possible in the registry as the only other place I can see to do this is in the news feed interface which does not load (I can see it on the lite version).Marcus Tettmar wrote:This was a general issue with a previous version. After some wiresharking we have discovered that the RSS feed uses clipmagic.com and whitelisting on our web filter has cured the problem.cnashsk wrote:Is this possible in the registry as the only other place I can see to do this is in the news feed interface which does not load (I can see it on the lite version).Marcus Tettmar wrote:This was a general issue with a previous version. Re: News Feed bug
Interesting. Not sure why that domain was used. We will address that.
