Compiled Web Recorder EXE's

Post by Office Smith » Mon Nov 05, 2012 9:07 pm

So I've been trying to test out the compile feature a little bit, something I've never used much before.

And I'm struggling to run a webrecorder exe.

I've copied over a couple of the .dll's and made sure the other computer had protected mode off and enabled scripted web browsing.

What else could I be missing?

imports

I found something that said that the dll's need to be in a folder labeled "imports" in the same directory as the .EXE.

and that sometimes the product doesn't respond to normal comands, and you have to use the library commands.

Can anyone comment on those?

Got it

Looks like you also need to include the .ini that is in the imports file in the scripts directory.

Then things worked as expected.

Unable to get compiled Webrecorder scripts to work

Post by aottchartier » Wed Jan 02, 2013 4:25 pm

I am having same or similar problem. I created a simple script using webrecorder. Compiled the script. When attempt to run the script, it does not appear that Internet Explorer starts up. I have enabled scripting in IE, I am running the exe from the Imports subdir which has the ini and dll. Any advice on how to get this to work? (See post made by aochartier for sample of script).

Have you included the runtime files as per the help file:

"Compiled Macro Scheduler scripts will also need the IEAuto import library.
Make sure that your .exe has an Imports folder at the same level containing
IEAuto.DLL and IEAuto.INI. You can simply copy the Imports folder from your
Macro Scheduler program folder to the .exe location."
