Best OCR Tool

Post by KenHadley » Thu Oct 08, 2015 3:52 pm

Marcus,

There is a blog entry from 2006 that mentions Textract as a good choice for OCR work and shows how to integrate it into MS.

Is Textract still a good tool for this, or are you aware of better alternatives now some nine years later?

Thank you, Ken

Haven't used OCR for years, so I'm a bit out of date, but I don't know if Textract is still supported. There are other commercial tools out there, such as from ABBYY who seem to be industry leaders. Pretty sure they offer SDKs which you could use within/from Macro Scheduler.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?
