macro killing another macro

All,

I have 2 executable macros say mac1.exe and mac2.exe on win2k or winNT. I can see their names in the task manager processes list.
Question 1: Since there is no ‘window’ associated with the process can I still have a macro find out it a particular ‘process’ i.e. executable macro is running? Or do I have to use the “iniâ€Â
