TDBLookupComboBox does not return text

I realize that this is a delphi based control and that macro scheduler is itself a delphi based tool. For some reason I cannot retrieve text from these comboboxes. The only way to do it is using the coordinate based text capturing which in this particular situation is not practical because the coordinates will vary depending on the user workstation. Is there a fix for this?
