Split the editor window

A nice feature in Word and other editor programs is the ability to split the window into two howizontal independly scrolled windows. Where you can view two parts of the the same script and be able to copy paste or just view for reference.

In some editors you can even edit two files at the same time and be able to copy and paste between the two.

I know that you can assign an editor and have a second window using edit but it is not the exact same thing.

I just open a notepad session next to the editor, tile them and it is the same.

I have used TextPad as script editor for years,

Can create a Macro Scheduler class, can tile horizontal/vertical, apply syntax coloring, etc.

I second the call for a split window.

This is particularly useful at clients where I have no control over what editors are installed - gotta work with whatever is provided under MSched.

Apart from the scrolling backwards and forwards thing, I often find myself saving and closing a macro that I'm working on . . . to go and reference another macro, copy some code etc, then coming back.

Use Windows Explorer to navigate to the Directory that contains the Macro Scheduler scripts. (I have a desktop shortcut to my MSched directory.) Right click on a script and select "Edit" from the menu. You can do this multiple times. I've had as many as 5 or 6 scripts open to edit simultaneously. If you want a "Split screen" size two edit sessions appropriately and set the windows side-by-side on your screen. What could be simpler?
