Newbie: Error when attempting to record

Post by aliteralmind » Sun Jan 17, 2010 5:07 pm

I'm just getting started with MacroScheduler (11.1.18, Windows 7, 3GB ram), but I've come across a real problem.

I'm trying to record my first macro (not write one, just record my actions). I'm opening Macro Scheduler "as administrator", and then clicking "Record". After it tells me "Click Alt+Ctrl+S" to stop, and then minimizes, I get this error:

Then I notice the try icon blinking this nasty horrible and mean red

It doesn't stop recording (the Record button is greyed, and the Stop button is clickable, but doesn't do anything).

When I try to exit the program, I'm getting these errors:

Macro Scheduler is currently installed in the same directory as most of my other applications, which all work fine: C:\applications\utilities\macro_scheduler

Do I really need to reinstall it into C:\program files or whatever?

Here are the program's permissions and properties:

I don't understand what else could be going wrong. I don't have any firewall/virus/malware program running on my computer (not always, I run them only when I need them...like ClamWin).

Thank you for any advice! I've been really looking forward to using Macro Scheduler!

I realize the permissions above are for the shortcut, not the application itself. I updated the application permissions as well to the same thing. I tried again and still have the same problem.
