Enforcing ANSI file format question

Post by Randall » Tue Jul 23, 2013 6:55 pm

How can I make sure that all my scp files stay in ANSI format and NOT unicode? I am using some GnuWin emulated linux commands on my windows XP machine to help maintain integrity of the macros.

For some reason, just running a Debug session on my 7836 line macro converted it all to unicode.

Thanks for your help in pointing out what setting to change to insure that file saves stay in ANSI format.

Macro Scheduler is Unicode by default.

You could uncheck "Save on Debug/Run" in the Debug menu of the editor. That way when you debug it won't save your script. So if it is already Ansi it should stay that way as it will no longer save when you debug or run from the editor.

When you save manually you would also need to do Save As Ansi from the standalone editor.
