I'm a clueless person when it comes to macros. A team of mine wants to know if anyone has had success with automating anything related to LinkedIn.
One way we'd like to use Macro Scheduler is to create something like a Twitter list for LinkedIn. It would be super useful, for example, to see which Fortune 500 CEOs have posted by looking in one place, instead of having to check each person's profile.

I've not attempted to automate LinkedIn with Macro Scheduler myself. I honestly don't know how tricky it would be or whether it would be feasible. I'd need to spend a bit of time on it. My suspicion is that it will be troublesome and I expect there is an API which would be better for this sort of thing.

Can you outline what is needed? Are you wanting to search through a list of known linkedin contacts one by one, pulling out their latest post and then outputting them? I guess this would need to be done while logged in?

Judy and I agree it'd be a challenge to implement because the API isn't open. We were trying to figure out a way to create "LinkedIn lists" like "Twitter lists" as a way to check on people's latest posts through our own separate tool instead of relying on LinkedIn's feed. LinkedIn's feed is lousy as it keeps serving up the same people and not a variety.
